Movie Review: Sa Gabing Nanahimik Ang Mga Kuliglig

Father Romi and altar boy Nonoy find themselves in a predicament after Magda confesses that she has committed murder after she found out that her husband and her friend have an adulterous relationship. Torn between following the Seal of the Confessional and finding a way to deliver justice, the two carry the weight of Magda’s sins.

Loved the ensemble acting in this film. Angel Aquino, Jake Macapagal, Ricky Davao, Jess Mendoza & Anthony's Falcon acting is top notch. A compelling film that tackles the separation of religion and state giving the audience a choice on what is more relevant. It somehow examines the justice system in small town province and provides people an insight of moral values of oneself. I like the feels of the film, from its shots, treatment and script, that felts like watching a classic drama 80's film.

My Verdict: 4/5
