Feeling out place in her own home, an eccentric and socially awkward girl, Mika (Julia Barretto), decides to go on a road trip with a very strange goal – to look for aliens.
In her trip, Mika accidentally bumps into a simple and good-humored boy, Caloy (Joshua Garcia), whom she chooses to give a free ride to until he reaches his destination.

Mika is surprised to know that Caloy has cancer. But despite his condition, he has learned to accept his fate and remained positive and joyful.
The two embark on a road trip filled with adventures and misadventures, not knowing that it will lead them to experiencing their most memorable romance at such a young age. They unexpectedly teach each other an important lesson on love and life – one that takes most people a lifetime to learn.
Love You To The Stars and Back is a beautiful film with heartfelt story anchored in a different kind of love story and wonderful journey in a road film. It offers a refreshingly unconventional take on the coming-of-age drama whose narrative risks add up to a rewarding experience. I really appreciated the angle this film took. I found that this film expresses the pain and joy of not just one individual, but all the people they touch along the way. Jadaone still never failed me in giving remarkable scenes that stayed with me after leaving the cinema. The film is at its strongest exploring the sensual chemistry between Joshua and Julia. Truly a new loveteam to beat is born with JoshLia. Joshua Garcia and Julia Baretto is the next actor and actress to watch for as they deliver affecting performance that will truly make you cry. Love You To The Stars And Back is an inspiring film that make you believe and appreciate the decision that you made in life.
My Verdict: 4/5
