VMX Turns Up the Heat This September with ‘Masahe’ and ‘Desperada’

 

VMX brings together two new releases this September that offer audiences very different stories and experiences—from the sensual world of Masahe to the emotionally charged journey of Desperada.

Hosted by Zsara Laxamana and directed by Rodante Y. Pajemna, Jr., Masahe takes viewers into the world of sensual massages and intimate experiences. The special feature gives Laxamana the opportunity to explore different massage techniques while also taking on the role of host and participant.

Laxamana is joined by fellow VMX artists Joko Rivera and Yasmin Alba as they explore the concept of massage, from traditional techniques to more sensual forms. The experience becomes even more intimate as Laxamana takes on one of the featured massages herself under the direction of Pajemna.

Premiering September 22 on VMX, Masahe offers viewers a different kind of special feature led by Laxamana, who brings her own personality and presence to the project.

Meanwhile, Desperada, directed by Louie Ignacio, takes viewers into a more dramatic and emotionally complex story.

The film stars Robb Guinto as Brenda, a young woman struggling with her mental health who is admitted to a facility under the care of social worker Miriam, played by Sue Prado. There, she meets fellow patients Gigi, portrayed by Julianne Richards, and Hesus, played by Mhack Morales.

Brenda's journey toward healing takes another complicated turn when she crosses paths with Lucio, played by Yaser Marta, a former friend who is now homeless. Their reunion eventually develops into an unconventional relationship as Brenda tries to rebuild her life and find hope amid the challenges she faces.

Also starring Mercedes Cabral, Desperada explores love, compassion, friendship, and the difficult realities faced by people dealing with mental health struggles.

Now streaming on VMX, Desperada gives viewers an emotional story filled with complicated relationships, personal struggles, and the possibility of finding love and a second chance.

With Masahe and Desperada, VMX offers two distinctly different viewing experiences this September—one exploring sensuality and intimacy, and the other delving into complicated relationships, healing, and the search for hope.
