Movie Review: My Sassy Girl

The movie follows the journey of Pepe Herrera's character, Junjee, a caretaker trainee, as he becomes entangled with Toni Gonzaga's character, Sheena, a spirited and self-centered woman who humiliates him at every turn.

Toni plays opposite Pepe Herrera, who portrays a young engineering student (named Gyeon-woo in the Korean drama) who meets “the girl” at a train station and ends up having to take care of her when she passes out drunk. He subsequently gets involved in all her day-to-day activities and repeatedly gets humiliated by her in different situations, but eventually falls more and more in love with her.

Movie Review: Single Bells

Rose Ann and Rose Mae strike up a friendship in spite of being polar opposites. Rose Ann swore to forever be single after being left at the altar, while Rose Mae is desperate to be in a relationship. In their search for contentment, they end up joining the Single Bells Organization, a group who promotes self-love and are proud to be single. In the end, they both have to face the truth and choose: For Rose Ann, it’s either to forgive or be stuck in the past; for Rose Mae, it’s either choosing herself or settling for whoever is there. Will they make the right choice and open a new chapter or stay on their course and forever be a single bell?

Movie Review: The Exorsis

Gina (Toni Gonzaga) and Dani (Alex Gonzaga) are sisters with very much different personalities. Gina is a formal, goal-oriented person, while Dani is more of a free spirit, living life on a day-to-day basis. Being orphans, it has been Gina’s responsibility as the eldest to take care of their family, and her grocery business has been able to provide for her and her sister’s needs. Fate makes a way for Gina’s unfulfilled dreams to come true when an opportunity abroad comes knocking on her door, but she becomes hesitant to grab this chance in fear that Dani, her reckless and irresponsible sister, will not be able to manage her growing grocery business.

One eerie night, a mysterious girl named Leng-Leng passes by and unfortunately falls into an accident right in front of Gina’s grocery store and dies. Her spirit wanders, finds Dani, and takes over her body. Now possessed by Leng-Leng, Dani tries to attack everyone she meets, including her sister. Dani’s condition worsens, and Gina finds a way to help and protect her sister.
