Movie Review: Kung Paano Siya Nawala

Kung Paano Siya Nawala tells the story of Lio (JM De Guzman), a quiet and withdrawn young man who finds it difficult to connect with other people due to his affliction:  face blindness, a cognitive disorder characterized by an inability to recognize faces.

But the inhibited Lio finds himself opening up to the world when he falls in love with Shana (Rhian Ramos), a beautiful free spirit who has secrets of her own.

Lio's unique condition—and the baggage that comes along with it—brings a complicated twist to their love story.

Good Team Up, Reliable Actors, Rare Ailment, Off-The-Wall Screenplay. Kung Paano Siya Nawala is a pinoy romantic film that has something new to offer to the table. The pain and struggles of Lio and Shana were effectively conveyed in the movie. Even their side story were effectively mount in the film.  JM De Guzman and Rhian Ramos were obviously the best choice to fit the role in this complex film. Their charm and acting capability works well in this film. Of course Armi Millare's song "Anino" used in this film as theme song is noteworthy and plays significant role for me in this film as this is the background song where JM delivered one of the touching line I heard in a film as it goes "Share mo naman yan, hati tayo" to  Rhian who is crying and carrying her personal problem. So if you want your heart to be touched somehow and see a film that lingers with you, watch Kung Paano Siya Nawala.

My Verdict:  4/5
