Movie Review: Kamkam

This film aims to depict the power struggle in a corrupt neighbrohood. It's about a thug "Johhny" who lord over the community as he beds three women.

I was invited to the premiere screening of Kamkam at SM North Edsa that was attended by the cast and crew of the film. As we all know Direk Joel Lamangan is known for making a film that is socio political and mirrows the life of poor Filipinos. So that's what he shows here in the film it depicts the life of Filipinos living in depressed areas headed by a Allen Dizon that handles all the illegal activities in the area and has 3 wives. So there's a lot of stars in the film and direk Joel gave them equal exposure towards the film.

The director's treatment was clear enough to convey the message that it would like to deliver. It's good to see on big screen that we tackle social political issues, morality, infidelity and family ties values in one film. This film is a must watch and eye opener for us to see the other world lying here in our country.

My Verdict:  3.5/5
