Movie Review: Litrato

Litrato is about a grandmother who was left by the family at home for the ages. She has Alzheimer’s disease and would like to reunite with her family. In home for the ages, she meets people that will make her feel the value of her self worth.

Litrato is a homage film to our grandparents and loved ones. It will definitely touch your heart and appreciate the value of your family. Aiai Delas Alas gave her one of the most sincere performances in her career as she will make you feel the longing that she wants for her family. She plays the challenging role of having dementia with flying colors and easily connects to the heart of the audience. Her chemistry with Bodjie Pascua is one the highlights in the film as they showcase in the film that love has no age and you are never too old for love. New actress Quinn Carillo delivers her character as a troubled young woman longing for love. She acted naturally and played her character well with Aiai. In this film, she proves that she is a promising actress to watch out for. Other supporting cast that are noteworthy are Liza Lorena and Ara Mina. Their presence and acting chops are worth watching. Liza Lorena delivers her line wholeheartedly and you will feel the genuineness of her intention in the scene. Ara Mina as always is a dependable actress and brings the brilliance of her acting in this film. Litrato is a good film to watch with your family because of its moral lessons it gives towards the audience. It is a good balance of light comedy and tear jerker that will truly captivate your heart. So if you want to see an affecting FIlipino film for old ages with a simple story, Litrato is a decent one.
