Movie Review: Taya

Journalism student Sixto (Sean De Guzman) discovered that the woman, who has been in his countless wet dreams, is one of the prizes of an online “ending” game, and he did not hesitate to bet for her. He won the bet, but because of his own gambling error, he did not realize that he played for another woman named Nanette (AJ Raval). After series of sexual encounters, Sixto becomes addicted to Nanette and promised to take her away from the syndicate that condemned her as an online ending prize.

Kilig ang tambalang AJ Raval at Sean De Guzman sa pelikulang TAYA. Their segment is my favorite in this film that showcase the heart and core of the film. We can not deny the fact the two have chemistry and both promising actors to watch for. Their episode seems to be relatable and real to me. Taya is a daring and shocking story on love & gamble. I love the modern storytelling and stylish look of the film. The cinematography and production design of the film is well thought. The approach of the film is very now matching with its unconventional and timely subject matter. This film gave Sean De Guzman showcase his acting capabilities and AJ Raval her sensibility as an actress. She prove in this film that she is really the next hottest sexy actress to watch for. So if you want to watch a stylish modern erotic thriller Filipino sexy film, go watch TAYA.

My Verdict: 3.5/5
