Red is the common color associated with the word “LOVE.” But in the forthcoming movie of Quantum Films, MJM Productions and Star Cinema titled “The Girl in the Orange Dress,” multi-awarded actor Jericho Rosales and FHM’s sexiest lady, Jessy Mendiola declare a different color is now associated with love – ORANGE!
Yes, you heard it right, Jessy is the mysterious girl of Jericho on the big screen. This means Yen Santos and Yam Concepcion, the two leading ladies of Echo in the Kapamilya series “Halik” should keep a tight watch on Echo!
Jericho plays Rye, a superstar and a certified girl magnet. He is the object of many girls fantasy, including Jessy’s friends. On the other hand, Jessy plays Anna, a mysterious, happy go-lucky-girl who always throws caution to the wind.
Rye and Anna’s paths crossed and suddenly things happen. They end up in bed and everything turns upside down. That singular encounter added color into their lives. Their picture together went viral and became a hot topic on the television but the public is clueless about Anne’s identity. They only know her as the girl in the orange dress.

Last year’s MMFF, Echo was seen in the most awarded enrty,”Siargao.”
Now, people are also talking about Echo’s hit character as Lino in “Halik” where he gives inspired acting night after night.
This is Jessy’s first time to have an entry at the MMFF and as a lead actress She was last seen in the movie “Chinoy: Mano Po 7.” She is nervous but excited to do her first daring role and she is doubly excited to the challenges, more so because she has Echo as her leading man.
Even if this is just the first team-up of Jericho and Jessy, they sure had the netizens going crazy about them. When the full trailer of “The Girl in the Orange Dress” came out, it garnered a total of 3M viws and 61K shares as of November 30, 2018. One of the highlights of the movie is the tango dance of Echo and Jessy and lending them support are Luis Manzano, Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado in special role.

Its latest entry is written and directed by Jay Abello whose other indie films include “Paglipay,” “ Red.” and “Brutus.” “The Girl in the Orange Dress” opens in cinemas on December 25.
