Now on its second year, ToFarm Film Festival 2017 takes pride of its
6 films finalists, with its theme "Planting Seeds of Change". This
year's competition is
set to open on the 11th of this month at Novotel Hotel, Ballroom 2
and 3.
To kick off the festival, it will screen the
1975 Gerry de Leon’s film titled—‘Banaue:
Stairway to the Sky’. The said film tells about an Ifugao tribe's quest for
the ‘promised land. The movie headlines the one and only Superstar—Nora Aunor, Christopher de Leon, Johnny
Delgado and Ronaldo Valdez.
The ToFarm Film 2017 official entries
are: Victor Acedillo Jr.’s ‘Kamunggai’ (Malunggay), Topel Lee’s
‘Baklad’, Byron Bryant’s ‘Sinandomeng’, Joseph Abello’s ‘What Home Feels
Like’, Jason Paul Laxamana’s ‘Instalado’, and Tara Illenberger’s ‘High
Tide’.
After the screening of the opening film, cocktails will be served. The directors and the stars of the six film-finalists
will grace the occasion.
