At the set visit of the new romantic comedy film Luck At First Sight, the two lead stars Jericho Rosales and Bela Padilla share their experience working for the first time together. Despite their busy schedule, both get along together as well as with their director Dan Villegas which both of them get comfortable working with. When Jericho ask about the difference of his role with his past films, he said that he just enjoy his character, showcasing his light side and being more naturally funny. When Bela ask about the pressure on doing this film as her first lead role in mainstream, she said that she trust the project and she is confident that Jericho and Direk Dan will bring out the best in her for the film. On difficulty on doing the film, Direk Dan said that there will be a challenge for him to blend the reality and magic realism as he is known for doing modern romantic comedy on his past films, this time he will try to play on magic realism as added element for this film.
Originally conceptualize by Bela Padilla and Neil Arce, Luck At First Sight tells the story of Joma Labayan (Jericho Rosales) who believes that a "life charm" would help him win money to pay for his debts. He accidentally meets Diane Dela Cruz (Bela Padilla) who gives him luck only when they are close to each other. Diane doesn't believe this at first but left with no choice, she eventually gets along with Joma. Everything goes well for both of them until they discover that their luck will disappear if one of them falls in love with each other.
