Club Kid Gets QCinema Premiere Ahead of its Nationwide Release

Jordan Firstman’s acclaimed directorial debut joins QCinema 2026’s Genre’teurs selection

Audiences will get an early look at Club Kid at the 14th QCinema International Film Festival, ahead of the film’s nationwide theatrical release in the Philippines on November 18, 2026. The film will have a one-time screening on November 14 at Gateway Cineplex 18.

Written, directed by, and starring Jordan Firstman, Club Kid is an official selection under QCSelects and part of QCinema 2026’s Genre’teurs, a curatorial concept exploring the intersection of genre filmmaking and the distinctive creative vision of individual filmmakers. The festival runs from November 13 to 22, 2026.

Set against New York City’s vibrant nightlife, Club Kid follows Peter, a hard-partying club promoter whose carefully cultivated lifestyle is upended when he discovers he has a 10-year-old son he never knew existed. As he navigates the unexpected demands of fatherhood, Peter is forced to confront the life he has built and the possibilities of a different future.

It opens nationwide in Philippine cinemas on November 18, 2026, distributed by Lunchbox PH.

The film stars Jordan Firstman, Reggie Absolom, Diego Calva, Cara Delevingne, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Colleen Camp, Vicki Pepperdine, Nigil Whyte, Eldar Isgandarov, Saturn Risin9, Miss Benny, and Alaska Riley. It premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it competed in the Un Certain Regard section.

With its exploration of queer nightlife, unexpected parenthood, and the complexities of family, Club Kid brings a distinctive perspective to familiar comedy-drama territory. Its inclusion in Genre’teurs reflects QCinema’s interest in films that work within recognizable genres while making them distinctly their own through the filmmaker’s personal vision.
