Movie Review: Pushcart Tales

A dramedy that takes place entirely within the walls of a grocery store. The story revolves around six individuals, a diverse group of employees and customers, who find themselves unexpectedly trapped due to a severe storm.

Pushcart Tales is an engaging, clever and well written apocalyptic film. The screenplay is commendable and the treatment used in the film just wowed me. The captivating apocalyptic narrative where the screenplay and direction harmoniously elevate the storytelling. The ensemble performances of the actors are remarkable, noteworthy and award winning. Sharmaine Buencamino, Nonnie Buencamino and  Carlos Siguion-Reyna deserve the best actor and best actress award. Elora Españo, Teri Malvar and Harvey Bautista deserve the best supporting actress and actor award. Direk Sigrid managed to do a film again showing the brilliance of her craft as a filmmaker!

My Verdict: 4.5/5
