An uninspired filmmaker accidentally time travels back to the 90s at a Video City store, where he meets the woman who will change his life.
The heart of the story revolves around Han, a man from 2023, who time-travels back to 1995 and stumbles upon Video City, a video rental store. It's there that he meets Ningning, and their instant connection blossoms into a beautiful relationship.
With
 its interesting premise and
storyline, Video City is a finely made romantic film that will truly
melt
your heart anchored with engaging performances by Ruru Madrid and Yassi
Pressman. They surprisingly deliver as a partner for this film and
unexpectedly have chemistry together. Beyond the romance, it is an
inspiring story of two characters chasing their dreams and helping each
other achieve. The film is totally a memory lane
of the past and effectively plays with the idea of time jumping to tell
 a
 decent romantic Filipino film.
My Verdict: 4/5
