This new film tells the story of the 44 Special Action Force (SAF)
officers who died on their mission during the tragic Mamasapano clash of
 2015.
The story of the Mamasapano clash where 44 Special Action Force officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) died on their mission from the point of view of then-PNP Deputy Chief of Operations Major General Benjamin Magalong as he was heading the investigation.
Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told is an updated and decent Filipino action
war film
with a relevant story to tell for our unsung heroes. It's been a while
since we saw a Filipino action film in the cinema and I can say that
this is
a good one. The flow of the story is decent and its special effects are
also well done. So for action movie lovers out there, you will
definitely enjoy
watching this film. The film is also a good recall of what happened to
the Mamasapano encounter and an eye opener as well for the ins and outs
in
military operations and the politics outtakes in the Philippines.
My Verdict: 3.5/5
