1. Ad Ignoratiam
  (Quantum Films)
  Directed By: Armando Lao
  Starring : Ina Feleo and Kristoffer King 

Ad Ignoratiam,” a Latin phrase for “’to ignorance,’ better known in legalese as argumentum ad ignorantiam or appeal to ignorance — the fallacy that a proposition must be true when it has not  been proven false.


2. Gayak
  (Pro.pro Artist & Advertising)
  Directed By: Ronaldo Bertubin
  Starring : Sef Cadayona, Richard Arma , Evelyn Vargas-Knaebel and Alan  
                Paule

A touching dramatic story.

3. In Nomine Matris
  (Hubo Productions)
  Directed By: Will Fredo
  Starring : Liza Diño, Biboy Ramirez and one of Spain’s top flamenco masters,
                Ms. Clara Ramona  

In Nomine Matris (In the Name of the Mother) is a film about the passion of a young woman trapped between her craft as a Flamenco-Filipiniana dance protégé and as a woman falling in love with a man.


4. Paglaya Sa Tanikala
  (Kuwentista Productions)
  Directed By: Michael Angelo Dagnalan
  Starring : Matteo Guidicelli , Marife Necesito and Sue Prado

It is a religious drama about Saint Jerome Emiliani, the 16th-century Venetian military commander who became the patron saint of orphans and the abandoned.


5. The Grave Bandits
  (Paper Boat Pictures)
  Directed By: Tyrone Acierto
  Starring : Ronald Pacifico, Jill Palencia, Marti Sandino San Juan, and Milliard 
                Keung

It is said to be a zombie film, and described as a coming-of-age, adventure film with a twist of  horror and dark comedy.
 

    The five films will be shown at two Glorietta cinemas from December 18 to 22 – as prelude to the main MMFF, which begins on Christmas Day. The lineup was disclosed to the Inquirer by Digna Santiago, head of the indie section of the MMFF.
