SB19 and BINI emerged as two of the biggest winners at the Filipino Music Awards (FMA) 2026, taking home major honors that celebrate their musical achievements, live performances, and influence on Filipino music fans.
BINI was named Artist of the Year, while its Signals World Tour secured Tour of the Year. Jhoanna and Maloi accepted the awards on behalf of the eight-member girl group.
Meanwhile, SB19 earned three major awards, with Wakas At Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale winning Concert of the Year. The group also took home the People’s Choice Artist award, while its single “VISA” won People’s Choice Song.
Several artists and musical acts were also recognized across different genres. Skusta Clee and Flow G’s “Since Day One” took home both Song of the Year and Hip-Hop Song of the Year, while Maki’s KOLORCOASTER was named Album of the Year. Fitterkarma, meanwhile, was recognized as Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
In the alternative and rock categories, IV of Spades won Alternative Song of the Year for “Kabisado,” while Typecast earned Rock Song of the Year for “What Would It Take (For You To Realize The True Evil In This World?).”
Ben&Ben’s “Lifetime (Reimagined)” won Folk Song of the Year, while the R&B Song of the Year honor was shared by Denise Julia’s “LOVE AGAIN” and ALAMAT’s “Sinigang.” VVINK, DJ Love, and Pio Balbuena also took home Pop Song of the Year for “Baduy.”
International act BTS was named People’s Choice International Artist, further highlighting the global reach of music among Filipino fans.
One of the evening’s most memorable moments came when OPM icon Regine Velasquez-Alcasid received the FMA 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award. The singer became emotional during her acceptance speech as she expressed gratitude to the awards organizers, her family, husband Ogie Alcasid, and the people who have continued to support her career.
She also lightheartedly joked about how receiving a lifetime achievement honor could mean an artist is getting old or nearing the end of their career.
The ceremony also paid tribute to the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona, who received a Tribute Award accepted by his wife, Pia Magalona, and daughter Maxene Magalona. KAIA was named Star of the Night.
In other awards, ABS-CBN was named Music Company of the Year, while the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) received the Music Foundation Award.
The Filipino Music Awards 2026 brought together established icons and contemporary acts, celebrating the diverse sounds, performances, and artists shaping the Philippine music scene.
